BISP 8171 Payment Update April 2025 – New Installment, Districts, and How to Check Eligibility

The Government of Pakistan has increased the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) installment to Rs. 13,500, effective April 2025, to help low-income families cope with rising inflation. This payment will be disbursed quarterly, starting from April 10, across selected districts in all provinces.

Districts Where Payments Start from April 10, 2025

Initially, the payment rollout will occur in 40 districts, 10 from each province and region:

• Punjab: Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Sahiwal, Kasur, Mianwali, and Toba Tek Singh.

• Sindh: All districts of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Shaheed Benazir Abad, Thatta, and Badin.

• KPK: Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Bannu, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Mansehra.

• Balochistan: Quetta, Turbat, Khuzdar, Chaman, Gwadar, Sibi, and Lorelai.

• AJK & Gilgit-Baltistan: Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Gilgit, Skardu, and Hunza.

Beneficiaries must complete biometric verification at nearby BISP campsites and carry their original CNIC to receive payment.

Eligibility Criteria for April 2025 Installment

To qualify for the Rs. 13,500 installment, applicants must meet the following:

• Monthly household income below Rs. 50,000

• Only female-headed households are eligible

• Must have a poverty score below 32

• Ineligible individuals include:

  • Government employees

  • Taxpayers

  • Landowners with more than two acres

  • Bank account holders with over Rs. 50,000 balance

How to Check Eligibility Without Using the Web Portal

Since the 8171 web portal is temporarily down, use these methods:

1. SMS: Send your 13-digit CNIC to 8171 to receive eligibility and payment details.

2. Helpline: Call 0800-26477 (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm) to check your status via CNIC.

3. Visit BISP Office: Go to your nearest Tehsil-level BISP office with your CNIC and registered mobile number.

If you’re not registered yet, visit the nearest BISP office to complete the NSER (National Socio-Economic Registry) survey. Upon successful verification, eligible applicants will start receiving quarterly payments.
